Ts&Cs

Terms and Conditions – Dull But Important

Ts&Cs are never a bundle of laughs but we always recommend reading them so you know what you’re getting and protect yourself.

The following Ts&Cs apply to all transactions conducted via the Speechy website.

As we update our products and services, our Ts&Cs may change from time to time without notice. Any changes will apply to subsequent orders, so feel free to save a digital copy of this page now for future reference (don’t kill any trees by printing though!)

Refund Policy – (Let’s Hope You Don’t Need This Section!)

We want all our clients to be delighted by our products or services but if you feel we fall short in any way, please get in touch with us and we will attempt to address your concerns (and not cry too much!). We will do our utmost to ensure you enjoy every aspect of working with us.

From a legal point of view…

Refund Policy Templates – Digital downloads are given their own unique category under the Consumer Contracts Regulations and are therefore not services or goods. If you want to download something within 14 days of buying it, you will have to give your consent to waive the 14-day cooling-off period. This to prevent you from changing your mind after you have downloaded the content.

Of course if you have any concerns about templates, please contact us.

Refund Policy Review Service, Edit Service and Bespoke Speech – If you want work to begin within 14 days of buying a service, you will have to give your consent to waive the 14-day cooling-off period however full refunds will be given on any services bought if work has not commenced. Thanks to the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order and get a refund – even if you’ve just changed your mind.

Once work has commenced, you will be protected under Part 1 Chapter 4 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Quite simply, it demands that any service should be carried out with 1) Reasonable care and skill, 2) within a reasonable time and 3) at a reasonable price.

In order to apply for your money-back guarantee, you must contact us via the website within 45 working days of delivery. If we accept your reason for a refund the sums will be paid as soon as possible, but in any event within 30 days of you giving notice to us.

Complaints – In the event of any complaint arising from your use of the website, a product or service please contact.

Content Disclaimer – Be Aware

We do not accept any liability to any party for loss, damage or injury incurred by reliance placed on the information contained in this website, our templates or our inspirationnaires or through omission or errors, how so ever caused. Any reliance on the material on this site or on products is at your own risk.

While we attempt to ensure our bespoke speeches are unique, it’s inevitable that a few common themes will be used (for example, ‘opposites attract’ or ‘my marriage advice to you’) despite the fact we do not work from defined speech formats.

We cannot be held accountable for similarities between speeches.

Clearly, the nature of a speech template means only a limited number of speech themes are provided (though we have attempted to mitigate against the chances of repetition by including three speech options and a content-creator designed to help you personalise each theme in a unique way), and clients need to recognise that other speakers may also wish to use Templates.
